Rickshaw! Hate em or like em... Ignore... no way!!!!!!!!!

You can hate them, like them but cant just ignore them.. the rickshaws... I love talking to them n sharing views on anything from mythology to cricket to elections in UP/Bihar... most of them are well read n aware and the best guides on latest music n ladies bars in the city and food places in places you never imagined.

Auto drivers of Bombay rock any day.. Bangalore sucks big time.. maha chodus they are!!
my post just appeared on this cool blog for rickshaw in south Asia :))
Rickshaw!
this is what they say about the blog

This blog collects the poetry, phrases, expressions, and words found on the back of Rickshaws.

The Rickshaws (auto-rickshaws, cycle rickshaws, jinrikshaws), minibuses, trucks and other commercial vehicles of South Asia are moving works of art. Much has been made of the colorful paint jobs they sport. The poetry that decorates them has often been collected. But the inscriptions on the back of Rickshaws are also an expression of the uncensored id of South Asia.

Quote of the day

"There's a new medical crisis. Doctors are reporting that many
men are having allergic reactions to latex condoms. They say they
cause severe swelling. So what's the problem?"
- Jay Leno

Juss a thought.....

I was crawling on some blog netork n happend to read a comment on harness the idle power of the corporate world...
I do think that a gaming interface/environment can be ported to the corporate world. A corporate game interface/environment, if done correctly, would generate amazing productivity improvements and internal competition/cooperation. The best games already include IM/e-mail / auctions / trading / (with add-on)voice / competition / ad-hoc groups(guilds and parties) / rankings / status /professions / etc.
I sincerely feel 80% of the people using the systems in office are lying idle, if they are given the chance to may money and do wot they like, stuff like gambling, laying bets, help govt systems n local panchyat systems from the idle office space...
create a world of grid computing (eg. SETI Project) to help governments in Asia n Africa...
A world of help... We love helping people if we have the time.... don't we?
I'm waiting for a day when someone can start it... or maybe i will :))

Sometimes I wonder!!

I'm not da kinda person who expects an acknowledgements for every deed I do but at times I do wonder about the kinda people who exist in da world of ours...

Some people remember you when they need you in their times of problem and forget you when have used you or have you task done... some thing like a kaddipatta they say..they forget you when they have a nice time... I guess everyone has these experiences.. I guess one remembers these things to move on in life and not to repeat this knowingly or unknowingly wid another soul...

Never ever work your ass out for any cause however close it may seem to your heart... you maybe seen as a desperate and someone without any avenues...People may take you for granted...

There are also some absolute strangers, who will go out of their way to help you... watch out for them... they maybe probably a gujju or a marwari (don't go by popular perception)

why am I writing this??
I guess I'm damn bored have 3 days of holidays... my fridge is under repairs... sania mirza lost to Serena... West Indies unlucky for the zillionth time after knocking da aussies at 45/5 ....
not actually ... I guess one has to get a bit serious in life.. get priorities sorted out.. not have much hopes n expectations from friends ..
Life is not always bullish.... it can be bullshit too!!

da eventful week.....

If at all there was an eventful week, it was the second week of jan'05.... this week I left MyZus, a company which was much more than jus another place of work for me... something which I always believed would change da world n change my life.I did have the opportunity to work wid a wonderful team over the last 4 years. Learnt lotsa things from everyone the top bosses, investors, colleagues to sawant (some one who plays so many multiple roles,I just don't have a designation)

I've taken up a position as a day trading dealer at a friends place. Decided to seek Baba's blessing before take up this assignment, 9 of my friends incl my brother went to Shirdi and Shani Singhnapur.
Its been nearly a century since Baba left us wid a simple message "Sabka Maalik Ek" .. sadly the world still hasn't yet been able to understand it...

More details about Sai and teachings..

http://www.shrisaibabasansthan.org

Shri Sai Baba is revered as one of the greatest saints ever seen in India, endowed with unprecedented powers, and is worshipped as a God incarnate. (SAI meaning Sakshaat Ishwar) - GOD THE ABSOLUTE

This mysterious Fakir first made HIS appearance in Shirdi as a youth and remained there throughout His long life. HE transformed the lives of those who met Him and continuously is doing so even after His Samadhi in 1918 for those whose hearts are touched by His love and who pray and call Him at any emergency in life for HIS blessings.

Baba stated that His mission is to “give blessings” without discrimination to all, and He proves it in myriad ways by healing the sick, saving lives, protecting the vulnerable, averting accidents, granting offspring, facilitating financial gain, bringing people into harmony within themselves and with each other and, above all, in effecting the spiritual evolution and transformation of those who came to him as the last resort.

Baba is, as one of His contemporary devotees put it, “The embodiment of the Supreme Spirit lighting the sadhakas (seekers') path by His every word and action”.

To His devotees, Baba is nothing less than a GOD. This has been a matter of experience and not imaginary.

“I look on all with an equal eye”

An outstanding aspect of Sai Baba is that He is beyond distinctions of religion, caste or creed. He embodied all religions and preached the Universal religion of Love.

Devotees of all faiths find their meeting point in Sai and people from all communities and all walks of life are united by the great love and reverence Baba inspires in them. Baba had great regard for His Hindu devotees and their Gurus and He responded to their needs and permitted worship according to the Hindu and other religious rituals. At the same time His dwelling place was a Masjid (Mosque) and the name of Allah was ever on His lips. HE described Himself as in Service to GOD (ALLAH) and as a soul ever remembering ALLAH -(YAD - A - HAKKA)

People today flock Shirdi in ever-increasing numbers to pay homage to the Divine and to experience the truth of Baba’s promise that He would be active in answering devotees' prayers even from His tomb. Like Ten Commandments BABA has given eleven assurances to humanity for welfare.

Baba said that He was a slave in the service of those who loved Him that He was ever living to help those who turn to Him and that He has to take care of His children day and night. HE then taught values of total surrender to the Almighty Master (ALLAH MALIK EK- The only ONE) and experience his grace.

In coming to Baba’s Shirdi His children experience the truth how BABA unfailingly fulfils His commitments to HIS devotees by coming to their rescue in times of crisis.

50 Rules to Investing

50 Rules to Investing

1. An attempt at making a quick buck usually leads to losing much of that buck.

2. If stocks in general don't seem cheap, stand aside.

3. Buy and hold doesn't ALWAYS work.

4. Never throw good money after bad (don't buy more of a loser).

5. Cut your losers, and let your winners ride.

6. If the investment sounds too good to be true, it is.

7. Don't fight "the tape" (the trend.)

8. Don't fight the Fed (interest rates).

9. Most stocks that fall under $5 rarely see $10 again.

10. The best hot tip: there is no such thing as a hot tip.

11. Don't fall in love with your stock; it won't fall in love with you.

12. Don't have more than 3% AT RISK in any one position.

13. The trend is your friend until the end.

14. Trading options often leads to a quick trip to the poorhouse.

15. Bear-market rallies are often violent; giving the illusion the bull is back.

16. Low-priced stocks don't double any faster than high-priced ones.

17. Valuations don't matter in the short run.

18. When a stock hits a new high, it's not time to sell. Something is going right.

19. Have a rose garden portfolio (don't trim your roses while your weeds fester).

20. It takes courage to be a pig (don't settle for taking 10% profits).

21. Not selling a stock for a gain, simply because you're afraid of the taxes, is a bad idea.

22. Avoid limited upside, unlimited downside investments.

23. When all you're left with is hope, get out.

24. Don't keep losing money just to "prove you are right." Nobody cares.

25. Forecasts are useless.

26. Have patience and stick with your discipline.

27. When it's time to act, don't hesitate.

28. Expert investors care about risk, novice investors shop for returns.

29. Don't lose money.

30. You can learn more from your bad moves than your good.

31. A rising tide raises all ships, and vice versa, so assess the tide, not the ships.

32. Stocks fall more than you think and rise higher than you can possibly imagine.

33. Very few people have had great success short selling, even in bear markets.

34. You can't know everything about everything.

35. Since you can't know everything, seek out specialists who know their areas.

36. If a company's sales are shrinking, the business isn't growing anymore.

37. Real estate cycles are not the same as stock market cycles.

38. Investing in what's popular never ends up making you any money.

39. Know your investment edge, and don't stray too far from it.

40. Bear markets begin in good times. Bull markets begin in bad times.

41. Buy value - stocks that are priced less than their underlying assets are worth.

42. Neglected sectors often turn out to offer good values.

43. There's usually only one reason corporate insiders buy stock.

44. Don't miss a good one by being too concerned with the exact price you pay.

45. Avoid popular stocks, fad industries and new ventures.

46. Buy shares in businesses you understand.

47. Try to buy a stock when it has few friends.

48. Be patient: don't be rattled by fluctuations.

49. Mutual funds underperform the averages over the long run. Buy index funds instead.

50. If you don't understand the investment, don't invest.

Bloodbath or Correction!!

Sensex

6,458.84

-192.17
-2.89%

Nifty

2,032.20

-71.55
-3.40%

After the mayhem of may 17th this was the biggest single day fall of the Sensex...... the Index was down nearly 300 points only to bounce back... some say it was profit booking and correction, some say its da meltdown of the world markets thanks to some comments of Mr Alan Greenspan whom I condiser to be top 3 men in the world after the Pope and Bill Gates :))
I'm over 20k down, but managed to get rid my petty shares like GV films, Kashyap Radiat and Bellary.... would probably exitign more tomorrow if needed...
the amount of Market Cap that has been wiped out is more than enough to feed and cloth and house all the victims of the Tsunami in India.
Anyways tomorow is a another day, another game... hoping for a bullish Thursday.
In the game of Bulls and Bears, lambs have no place!!
