Bottles of colourful syrups

On a hot summer day the gola wala is the coolest sight in the scorching streets of Bombay. The gola wala is the ice slush vendor. With hundreds of bottles of colourful syrups lining his cart, an ice crusher in the middle and such essentials like gola sticks, glasses and bowls, he churns out the most amazing stuff on this sizzling earth.

  1. I love having kala khatta but I wonder if these syrups are healthy.

    How they make it?

  4. I don't like him making the gola with his bare hands, often times I have seen him blowing his nose or coughing or scratching his golas before making my gola. I think he should wear plastic gloves or something... also he keeps the gola ice in wood dust under jute bag, seems not very clean... nobody tracks the stats for how many people die from golas but bombay sure does have a high rate of infectous deases...I would say avoid golas.... instead go for a cola....
