I spoke to someone yesterday who told me what a dodo I was to leave a steady job and get into stock-trading and lose money and become a laughing stock.
Well everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, I live life thoda Hatke... :))
On a serious note...

I did lose money, but trust me the thrill and excitment of day trading it next only to a Indo-Pak match in the last 5 overs. Besides I have my NCFM certification valid for 5 years and I have rented it to some broker :))
Some of the people whom I find cool are
- People who are well read.
- People who are opinionated and will stick to their stand.
- People who made money legally
- People who are good with numbers (mathematics, futures, options, lotto's, matka etc)
- People who did things to prove others wrong
- People who reply promptly (SMS,email, phone calls)
- People who have not let failures stop their conquest of life
- People who respect other people's time.
- People who have lived on the edge and ends of life and made it reasonably well.
- People who are crazy, have out of the box ideas and inventions.
- People who tell good jokes
- People who think India rocks and Bombay Lives on....

:) I dont know matka ...last I scored in maths ws 76:( future...well dont we stick to our heart n do wht we like ;) ...

ReplyDeleteShare your spirit but only did not like one thing you said. Totally agree with you that you should take risks and personally think that what you did was a great thing to do.
What alarmed me is that you've rented your NCFM certification to a broker. I'm not sure what this means but obviously this is not ethical. Two main reasons:-
1. The certification is there to protect the trader and to ensure that anyone who is trading understand the bare minimum of the system and so does not do foolhardy stuff.
2. You have obviously put in some non-zero amount of effort into obtaining the certification. Do you really want it to be revoked / taken away because of something done by someone else. This is of course my own conjecture that there is a penalty scheme.
Why do this in the first place? While I do like the people who do their own thing and frequently fall in the same category, we must have the maturity to realize that the rules are not ad hoc statements created by people to spite others (this does happen though!!). More often than not they are the work of genuinely responsible people meant for the protection of the common man and to ensure that foolhardy behavior does not separate the low networth individual from his hard earned money.
You obviously have a lot of buddies satya. We dont want bad things to happen to you.
Do yourself a favor, do your own things, try not to bend the rules :-)
