I was in the Virar Train, the train had halted at Borivali station and was waiting for a mail train to pass... I saw a crippled kid crawling and dragging himself parallel to each compartment, I dint see a single soul give him any alms. A hijra who was seeing all this, buys a Vada Pav and gives it to the kid, No emotions, no expectance of any gratitude, as if it was some kinda duty to help.
I've always wondered we look upon them with suspicion and contempt, but they also have a story, a dark side which I guess no one really knows.
I love my city and my life literally revolves around (parallel at times) it.This is gonna be my modest attempt to share info about Bombay's people, its places, markets, maidans, institutions, transport systems, politicians, socialites, food and eating habits, sports, business, underworld, fashion and life. I shall also post Stock market tips, News and Rumours which I normally get from my many friends and sources.
Well as per my knowledge..It is we Indians who have hazed the entire scene for hijras..They have been known to be worshipped and stuff..Well the Indian public is totally selfish at times. Its really sad that some of us dont seem to really gauge the kind of deepshit some people can be in..Anyways..Bottomline.Sad railway public.Get balls..Look at the hijra ..He apparently does gr8 without them
