My first reaction was WTF, have I seen this movie before coz there was a movie by da same name. I dunno whether to call it a movie or a documentry on the Naxalbari-Socialist- Marxist-Hippy-Flower Power Genaration movie, but I sincerely liked Sudhir Mishra's attempt to bring about the Naxilite's story. Being a mallu I've always had uncles and folks kinda sympathising wid da communists and naxalbari student movements but I never knew it took so much guts and madness to do something like this...
I dunno where India is headed after seeing this movie.
this is wot rediff.com has to say..
Hazaaron Khwaishein is overwhelming!

ReplyDeleteWonderful movie. Hope it gets a wider release. It is not documentary but is a heartrending love story set against a political backdrop
